MEET THE BROKERS
David R. Tina (Dave Sr.) Managing Broker/Owner- Dave was born in Flushing, NY in the borough of Queens. He is an ex New York City fireman (FDNY) in which he served for 20 yrs. Dave raised his son on Long Island where he also opened a restaurant called The Landmark Cafe which had a successful run of 10 years until he and his partners sold it in 1997. He began his real estate career in 1977 which led him to opening and brokering a Coldwell Banker in NY which he brought to number 1 in Medford, Long Island. Dave began his next chapter of life when he moved to Las Vegas in 97 and quickly became one of the top 5 realtors in Las Vegas, Summerlin and Red Rock Country Club while working at Properties Plus and then Realty Executives. In 2007 he became the Corporate Broker of Realty ONE Group where he helped transform the Summerlin Branch from 200 agents to 620 agents while making it the number 1 branch in all of Las Vegas for over 34 straight months. That success catapulted him to the position of General Manager for the entire company in 2009. After a great 5 years there Dave decided to start his own company with his son, Dave Jr. and hence here we are today at Urban Nest Realty.
David J. Tina (Dave Jr.) Corporate Broker/Owner – Dave was born and raised on Long Island in Medford, NY where he excelled in academics and sports. Dave chose to go to college at UNLV and moved to Las Vegas in 1995. Upon obtaining his degree in education and kinesiology he briefly taught in the Clark County School District. While in college in 2000, Dave at the urging of his father, got his real estate license as a supplement to teaching. In 2002, Dave decided to learn the mortgage business as well and worked first on the retail side for Bank of America Home Loans and then at a brokerage called Southern Fidelity Mortgage. At the same time he also practiced real estate for Realty Executives and completely transferred over exclusively to real estate in 2006 because of his success in that side of the business. In 2008 Dave became an Assistant Broker to his father Dave Sr. due to the rapid growth Sr. created at Realty ONE Group. This led to Dave Jr. opening a new branch in Southwest Las Vegas for Realty ONE which he grew from scratch to over 200 agents in less than 18 months. Dave Jr. also had the distinction of having the most profitable branch per agent while at Realty ONE Group. In 2012 his father and him decided to build on their own vision and open Urban Nest Realty.
